"My art reflects my love for nature and animals as well as people. Though I began with figure studies and portraiture and charcoal and pastels, I turned to oil and acrylics to interpret the  beauty of our natural world and of other subjects   that inspired me.

Currently I am working in watercolor, which allows more freedom of expression and immediacy. I paint mainly landscapes but also other subjects (such as my cat!)

Painting for me is a way to express my feelings, to feel more connected to nature, to use my imagination. If others can appreciate my art that is its own reward." - Renate Bob
