Chautauqua Art Gallery is expanding and seeking new artists.
Chautauqua Art Gallery is pleased to announce that we are moving to a new, larger location this spring.
After four years of hosting some of our areas finest artists, we've outgrown our little corner of Lakewood and will be moving to 318 N. Main Street, Jamestown in April of 2022. Until then we will remain open at our current location on Chautauqua Ave. in Lakewood.
Our new space offers much needed room to host even more incredible artwork along with additional space to hold classes and artist events. As our website sales continue to grow we are also adding designated space and equipment for photographing and displaying artwork online as well as more room for shipping.
We are actively seeking additional artists and are especially interested in artisan jewelry, fiber arts, ceramics, sculptural work, printmaking and other two-dimensional artwork. Works of all sizes will be considered. Please see our display requirements below.
Interested artists should send an email to leslie@chautauquaartgallery.com with the following information:
Your name, phone number and address
Images and a description of your artwork, (including approximate sizes)
Website or social media links where you display your artwork
Display Requirements:
Two-Dimensional artwork must arrive at Chautauqua Art Gallery professionally framed with a wire for hanging. If the artwork is unframed it still needs to be professionally presented with wire for hanging. Saw tooth hangers will not be accepted. We realize that some shadow boxes, smaller items and work in easel backed frames may not be able to be wired to hang on the wall. We are still able to display those items on our shelves as space allows. Please ask if you have any questions about displaying your work.
Three-Dimensional artwork must be able to sit solidly on a shelf, pedestal or floor while supporting their own weight.
